Real Madrid admit they want to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Manchester United forward was linked with a move to the Bernabeu for much of last summer, but Sir Alex Ferguson refused to let his star player leave Old Trafford.
Ronaldo, who wanted the move to Los Blancos, has this year stated he wants to remain at United, but this has deterred Real president Florentino Perez.
"I'm going to work to bring Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid,” he told Atena 3. "What would be very good is to see these players at Real Madrid. Cristiano would be one of these."
